  •  Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) is a federal public health agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. ATSDR serves the public by using the best science, taking responsive public health actions, and providing trusted health information to prevent harmful exposures and diseases related to toxic substances.
EPA Chemical References Index  The Envirofacts Master Chemical Integrator (EMCI) integrates information on chemicals from several different program databases. Using this integrator, you can learn details about a chemical substance, such as chemical names, discharge limits, and reported releases without knowing how the chemical is identified in the various program office systems throughout the Envirofacts database.
    NOAA Chemical Reactivity Worksheet

The Chemical Reactivity Worksheet (CRW) is a free program you can use to find out about the reactivity of substances or mixtures of substances (reactivity is the tendency of substances to undergo chemical change).  It includes a database of reactivity information for more than 5,000 common hazardous chemicals, and a way for you to virtually "mix" chemicals to find out what dangers could arise from accidental mixing. The database includes information about the intrinsic hazards of each chemical and about whether a chemical reacts with air, water, or other materials. It also includes case histories on specific chemical incidents, with references.

    National Toxicology Program

The NTP is an interagency program whose mission is to evaluate agents of public health concern by identifying both the effects of  chemicals and at what level of exposure that they become hazardous to humans - that is, understanding their toxicology.

MSDS Search   An MSDS Repository providing free access to over 2,500,000 Material Safety Data Sheets.
