    Shakira Goffe is a graduate student at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in Marine, Estuarine & Environmental Science. Under the advisement of Dr. Paulinus Chigbu, Ms. Goffe's research is focused on understanding environmental factors influencing the recruitment and distribution of fishes in the nearshore areas of Maryland Coastal Bays. Upon earning her master's degree, Shakira plans to continue her research in pursuit of her doctoral degree. 

    Miss Goffe earned a B.S. degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, in Environmental Science with a concentration in Marine Science.
