    Imani Wilburn is a masters student at The University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Her primary research involves micro-plastics in the Maryland coastal bays. She will primarily be focusing on the impact micro-plastics have on fish and how to remove them from the water. Having roots in Maryland, Tennessee, and Virginia, Imani earned her bachelors degree from Bowie State University in Biology where she was also an undergraduate EPP/MSI scholar with NOAA. Upon graduation, Imani aspires to be a Marine Biologist and a professor.
